Boulder, Colo. (April 17, 2020)–As communities react to the COVID-19 outbreak by issuing stay-at-home orders, closures at gyms and parks have meant the athletic among us–yogis, fitness instructors and athletes–are getting creative and providing virtual options to keep their community connected. Wana Athletes Martha Triantafillides and Flavie Dokken share what they’re doing to stay active and connected.
Martha Trianatafillides, Yogi/Wana Athlete:
Boulder’s stay-at-home order and the closure of yoga studios means that Martha “can’t practice and is out of a job until further notice.” In an effort to maintain a sense of community and provide a platform to come together and check in on each other, Martha is hosting a Virtual Yoga Class through Zoom Sundays through Fridays at 10am. The classes are free to join, donations welcome. More information at this link.
- Wana Quick Fast-Acting Gummies Pina Colada Indica: Martha said Wana Quick Pina Colada Indica is helping her cope with her anxiety: “I love these because the new quick indica gummies lend a hand while I’m getting in the zone for my practice. Especially during this quarantine, I’ve been so thankful I have these edibles to calm down my anxiety and stress and help me sleep.”
- Wana Sour Gummies Strawberry CBD/THC 10:1: Martha also utilizes Wana Traditional Gummies with a high CBD ratio “These are great for coping with my hormonal anxiety and the anxiety I get before teaching a yoga class. The CBD/THC ratio provides a lovely, uplifting feeling without feeling light-headed.”
Flavie Dokken, Long Distance Runner/Wana Athlete
Flavie is experiencing a different set of challenges. A typical year would include dozens of trail and obstacle races, such as the Sawatch Mountain – High Lonesome 100 miler and the San Louis Obispo – Training Spartan OCR (Obstacle course race). But now many of them have been ]postponed or canceled completely. Because of social distancing and shutdown of many of her usual training trails, Flavie has had to transition to road running, which is tough on the joints. Thankfully, she also has access to a private gym.
Wana Quick Fast-Acting Gummies Peach Bellini Sativa: This is where Wana Quick Fast-Acting Gummies have come in handy. She takes one in the morning instead of coffee to give her focus and energy, and then hits the road by 4:30am for a three-hour training run. “I use these gummies before my three-hour run in the morning instead of a cup of coffee. It gives me focus and energy for about three hours and I feel them quicker, but then I’m ready to go about my day with a clear head.”
Wana Sour Gummies Strawberry Lemonade CBD/THC 1:1: “I like the 1:1 gummies, because I’m running a lot more on roads due to the overcrowding or complete closure of trails and that’s impacting my joints, so these CBD gummies are great for recovery.”
