FAQ

General

Can I travel with or bring my Wana products back to my home state/country?

No. At this time any products purchased in Colorado (or other cannabis-legal states) must remain in those states. In the U.S., the Federal government classifies marijuana, even medical marijuana, as a Schedule 1 controlled substance. This means it is federally illegal to transport it across state lines or out of the country.

Wana isn't sold in my state. Can you ship to me out of state or internationally?

Unfortunately, no. It is illegal to ship marijuana or marijuana-infused products across state lines or internationally. Additionally, we are a wholesaler, which means we are only permitted to sell our products to licensed dispensaries, not individuals.

Wana products are available in my state. Can you tell me which dispensaries sell your products?

To access a list of dispensaries that carry Wana products in your area, please utilize the BUY WANA feature on our website. Once you’ve located a dispensary, it’s a good idea to call and confirm which products are in stock.

How can I get legal cannabis where I live?

Every state has different cannabis regulations, and you should check state laws to determine if you can purchase legal cannabis in your location. If you live in or plan on visiting a state where recreational cannabis is legal, you can purchase cannabis products through a dispensary as long as you are at least 21 years of age and have a valid Driver’s License or I.D. If you live in or plan on visiting a state where medical marijuana is legal, you can purchase cannabis products through a medical dispensary as long as you have a valid medical marijuana card that was issued in that state. Check the state laws to determine if you can use a medical marijuana card issued in your home state in another medical state. Please remember that federal law prohibits you from transporting your cannabis products across state lines or out of the country.

How can I get Wana to start manufacturing and selling products in my home state?

At Wana, our goal is to provide our consistent, potent and delicious products across the United States. We are actively looking for manufacturing partners in states where medical or recreational cannabis products can be sold. If you are a licensed marijuana manufacturer and interested in partnering with us, please email support@wanabrands.com or fill out a CONTACT US form.

Do you sell CBD-Only products?

Yes! We sell both hemp-derived CBD gummies and fast-acting tinctures. And because CBD is federally legal, we can ship these products anywhere in the United States. Order yours at WanaWellness.com.

Is Wana Brands a publicly traded company?

No, Wana Brands is a privately held company.

How can I apply to work for Wana?

Please visit our CAREERS page to apply for any open positions. Please only apply for posted jobs; we do not keep resumes on file for future postings. Please note: Wana does not control all staffing for our partner states, so if a position isn’t posted on our website, you’ll want to reach out to our manufacturing partner in your state.

I have food allergies and dietary restrictions. Can I still enjoy your products?

As with all food allergies, you should consult the list of ingredients to determine if any given product is safe for you to consume (you can also find nutritional information on the PRODUCTS page for your state). That said, our products are vegan, gluten-free, and made with all-natural flavors and colors — with our Colorado adult-use gummies containing organic sugar and tapioca syrup — and are therefore suitable for most diets.

Are your products organic?

In Colorado, our adult-use gummies are sweetened with organic sugar and tapioca syrup rather than high-fructose corn syrup. We are currently in the process of making the same transition in our out-of-state markets. If you live outside of Colorado, please check the packaging on your product to determine whether it contains organic ingredients.

Where does your cannabis come from and what are your growing techniques?

Our cannabis is sourced locally in each state we operate in. In Colorado, we source our cannabis from Los Suenos, CO, where it is grown outdoors for better cannabinoid and terpene profiles.

Edibles

I have never tried edibles before. What dosage should I start with?

In order to have a great edibles experience, it’s always best to start low and go slow. It may take a while for you to feel the effects of edibles, so start with a 2.5mg to 5mg dose (a quarter or a half of a classic Wana Sour Gummie) and wait at least 60 minutes before consuming any more. You may also want to avoid eating high-fat foods before trying an edible for the first time; because THC binds to fats, these foods can intensify your experience. Finally, make sure you are in a safe, comfortable environment when trying edibles for the first time. Enjoy responsibly!

How do I know how much THC is in your products?

Per state regulation, we send our recreational products to certified testing facilities to ensure proper dosage and homogeneity across batches of edibles. You can always rest assured that the dosages listed on our packaging are accurate. Remember to start low and go slow when it comes to edibles.  Begin with a 2.5-5mg dose (a quarter or a half of a classic Wana Sour Gummie) and wait at least 60 minutes before you decide to consume more.

I consumed your edibles and didn't feel high. What do I do?

Everyone’s experience with cannabis and edibles will be unique and variable upon diet, body composition, metabolism, age, and even mindset. The effects will also depend on frequency and history of use, as regular users develop a tolerance to THC. We recommend starting low and going slow when it comes to dosing. Start with 2.5-5mg and wait at least 60 minutes before you decide whether or not to consume any additional product.

Do your gummies melt at high temperatures?

No! Many of our competitors make their gummies from animal-based gelatin, which starts melting at around 90 degrees Fahrenheit. But our fruit-derived pectin formula can withstand even the warmest weather, so you can take Wana along for all your fun-in-the-sun adventures.

How long does it take for an edible to kick in?

For traditional edibles, such as our Classic Sour Gummies, effects will kick in between 45 minutes to two hours. We recommend waiting at least 60 minutes to feel effects before deciding to consume any additional product.

For Wana Quick Fast-Acting Gummies and Tincture, effects will kick in between 5-15 minutes, but can take up to 30 minutes after consuming a large meal.

How long do the effects last?

For Wana Quick Fast-Acting Gummies and Tincture, effects typically last between 2 and 4 hours.

What should I do if I take too much?

If you are having an uncomfortable experience after consuming an edible — such as feelings of disorientation, nausea, or paranoia– we recommend drinking lots of water to help flush the THC out of your system and avoiding fatty foods, which further bind to THC. If you can, be with someone you trust or go to a place that is familiar and comforting and do something you enjoy like watching a favorite movie. Be patient. Remember that it is impossible to overdose on THC, and these feelings will soon pass.

Vapes

What is the difference between vaping and smoking?

When smoked, cannabis begins to combust around 400 °F and can reach temperatures up to 2,000 °F, producing by-products such as tar and other harmful carcinogenic chemicals. These extreme temperatures can be irritating and even painful when inhaled. Vaporizing cannabis is the boiling of cannabinoids and terpenes into a gas, otherwise known as vapor. Cannabinoids and terpenes begin to vaporize around 250 °F without combusting or burning. Vaping raises the temperature just high enough to release cannabinoids, but not so high that it is harsh on your lungs.

Quick Tinctures

How fast does Quick Tincture work?

Most people will feel effects within 5 to 15 minutes, although onset times as low as 3 minutes have been reported.

How is Wana Quick Tincture different from other sublingual tinctures?

Many THC tinctures claim to be “sublingual” or “intra-oral,” meaning they can be absorbed under your tongue for rapid results. However, traditional oil-based tinctures actually break down into long, fatty chains that are mostly too large to be absorbed through your oral tissue. In reality, you wind up swallowing and digesting these tinctures just as you would any other edible, resulting in a typical onset time of 35-60 minutes.

Wana Quick Tincture, on the other hand, is made with an innovative “nanoemulsion” technology, which creates extremely small particles that can easily fit between the cells under your tongue, entering your bloodstream directly. Additionally, these particles are encapsulated in a water-friendly layer that makes them easy for your body to absorb. All this results in a typical onset time of 5-15 minutes and a shorter, more cerebral “smoker’s high.”

Why does Quick Tincture produce a "smoker's high"?

When cannabis is inhaled, it introduces Delta-9-THC into your body — this form of THC usually produces a light, cerebral high with a duration of 2-4 hours. When cannabis is ingested, that THC is metabolized in the liver, where it’s converted into 11-Hydroxy. 11-Hydroxy-THC produces the more intense, longer-lasting high often associated with edibles. But as with our Wana Quick Gummies, Quick Tincture is made with a nano-technology that allows it to enter the bloodstream almost immediately, bypassing first-pass metabolism in the liver. That means it delivers the same Delta-9-THC you would get from smoking or vaping.

I've heard Quick Tincture has "higher bioavailability" than traditional tinctures. What does that mean?

Bioavailability refers to how efficiently something is absorbed by your body. Cannabis is a fat, and your body is made of mostly water. Because fat and water don’t mix, it’s difficult for your system to absorb the THC or CBD in traditional tinctures… sometimes as much as 80% of the milligrams are eliminated without having any effect! But because Wana Quick Tincture molecules are encapsulated in a water-friendly layer, they’re absorbed 5x more easily and efficiently into your bloodstream. That means that with Wana Quick Tinture, you actually feel all the milligrams you pay for.

Is Quick Tincture sugar-free?

Yes! Quick Tincture is totally sugar-free, with a refreshing, minty flavor.

How much Quick Tincture should I take?

It’s up to you! Quick Tincture‘s calibrated eye-dropper bottle makes it easy to take as much or as little as you like and is especially useful for precise microdosing. If you’re unsure, we recommend starting with a low 2.5 – 5mg dose and waiting 20 minutes to gauge effects before consuming more. Bear in mind that one 1mL dropper full of Quick Tincture = 3.3 mg of THC.

Which CBD/THC ratio should I choose?

That depends on you! Our 1:1 Tincture offers a balanced ratio of CBD and THC for a relaxing, balanced “high.” Our 10:1 Tincture offers a much higher ratio of CBD, offset with a low dose of THC (which studies have shown can enhance the benefits of CBD) and typically helps relieve stress with little to no psychoactive effect.

Can I mix Quick Tincture into a beverage?

Certainly! But please be advised that swallowing Quick Tincture (rather than allowing it to absorb underneath your tongue) may result in a slightly delayed onset time.
